Chinese Acrobat has a long, long history. Originally hunting or harvesting skills in their life might be refined to an artistic performances soon to show audiences as a performer who earns money. It, named "Za-Ji" in Chinese, means "various performances" improves Chinese Acrobat today. Chinese Acrobat has occurred at various places in China, but Hebei province is said to be "Home Town of Za-Ji" because special performers were/are turned out lavishly then and now. There are a lot of acrobat schools, even private or public, in Hebei province.

In B.C. 400s' the Age of the Warring States in China, military skills were also added to acrobat skills and the contents were more complex and diverse. Around B.C. 200's, Chinese Acrobat was also spreading all over the world by an exchange with Roman Empire culture. The origin of many street performances now is also brought by this exchanges. "Hand-standing on stacked chairs" has been also completed at this time.

Chinese Acrobats are arranged and integrated by Chinese Government in 1950, and various acrobat companies were established in China and comes in today. Shanghai, Wuhan and Shenyang acrobat companies are very famous around the world, often study and practice new skills, and show  remarkably high performances on stages. Almost 10,000 performers play in China and around the world now.
